LINKEDIN IMAGE SIZES

LinkedIn banner size.

1584 × 396 px is LinkedIn’s recommended personal profile cover size. This is an independent tool, not affiliated with LinkedIn.

LinkedIn image sizes, checked against official Help pages

These are the sizes printed by LinkedIn Help on October 24, 2026 (UTC). The table keeps Page and Career Page modules separate. “Not stated” means the linked Help page did not publish that value in the text we read; it is not an invented limit.

Before you upload

  • Choose an image to see the four checks.

The checks cover the exported pixels, the official aspect ratio, the published file-size ceiling and JPG/PNG format. When LinkedIn does not publish a ceiling, the file-size check says Not stated. This does not promise that LinkedIn will keep the image sharp after upload.

LinkedIn banner dimensions, without guessing

The LinkedIn banner size depends on the surface. A personal profile cover is 1584 × 396 px; a Company Page cover on the current official specifications page is 1512 × 256 px. Career Page Life images have separate dimensions. The 1128 × 191 figure belongs to the separate Campaign Manager Landing Page cover, not a Company Page cover. Article covers are a separate 16:9 placement.

If you searched for dimensions for LinkedIn banner, start with the placement table above, then choose the same placement in the tool. The dimensions LinkedIn banner artwork needs are the official canvas dimensions, not a single value for every part of LinkedIn.

Why banners look blurry after upload

LinkedIn’s profile cover Help page recommends 1584 × 396 px and tells people to choose a larger file if a cover looks blurry. The Page specifications page recommends a high-resolution JPEG and warns that a cover may be trimmed to fit different screens. Those are the published facts this tool checks against. It does not claim to know LinkedIn’s compression algorithm or guarantee a sharp result.

The optional 2× export doubles both dimensions while keeping the official ratio. It gives you more pixels to upload only when the destination accepts that file; it cannot add detail that was not in the source image. Check the actual bytes and the placement’s published limit before export.

How to use this LinkedIn banner cropper

  1. Choose a JPG, PNG or WebP image from your device.
  2. Select the LinkedIn placement. Use Fill to crop to the canvas or Fit to keep the whole image with a background colour.
  3. Choose 1× or 2×, JPG or PNG, then inspect the preview and the four checks.
  4. Download or copy the encoded file. If an official file-size ceiling is exceeded, lower the JPG quality and export again.

Every crop is made locally in this browser. No account is needed and no image is sent to ThumbGlance.

Questions

What is the LinkedIn banner size for a personal profile?

LinkedIn Help recommends 1584 × 396 px for a profile cover image, with JPG or PNG format and a file under 8 MB.

What size is a LinkedIn company page banner?

The current official Page and Career Page image specifications list 1512 × 256 px for a Page cover. The separate Campaign Manager Landing Page cover is 1128 × 191 px.

Does 2× guarantee a sharper banner?

No. It exports twice the width and height at the same ratio. It cannot add source detail or guarantee how LinkedIn will process the upload.

Are my images uploaded or stored?

No. Decoding, cropping and encoding happen in this browser. The page does not upload or store your image.

Where do the numbers come from?

Each row links to a LinkedIn Help page read on 2026-10-24 UTC. Values a page did not state are marked Not stated rather than filled from another site.
